Y’all means ALL

inclusion, affirmation, & support for LGBTQ+ students

Covenant of Belonging

The Table UGA, a Christian campus ministry of the Presbyterian Church (USA), the United Church of Christ, the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), and the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, seeks to be a community of belonging for college students and a beacon of hope in the world. We believe that all people are children of God, are created in the image of God, and deserve to be loved and cherished for exactly who they are. This community of faith welcomes all people, acknowledging and celebrating those of all races, ethnicities, sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions, abilities, and economic circumstances. All persons are invited to fully share and participate in leadership, ministry, fellowship, worship, sacraments, blessings, and joys of our community.

Coffee & Queeries

Every other Wednesday at 4:30pm

In 2018, two of our students leaders met up for coffee to talk about coming out their peers at the then Presbyterian Student Center. Upon realizing the challenges of being religious in queer spaces and being queer in religious spaces, they decided to form Coffee & Queeries, a community focused on the unique needs and interests of LGBTQ+ students who identify as religious.

Today, CQ continues that legacy as one of our Small Groups at the Table UGA. We balance brave & honest conversations about identity, belonging, church hurt, queer theology, etc. alongside fun activities together like crafts, games, and field trips. Most of our group comes from a Christian background but all are welcome! Of course, It wouldn’t be COFFEE & Queeries without some caffeine, so each week we proudly serve Jittery Joes coffee & an array of tea options.

Check out the schedule below for upcoming meetings & events!

What We Believe

  • We believe that everyone is a beloved child of God, deserving of dignity and respect.

  • We believe that God welcomes and loves all- no exceptions.

  • We believe in the full humanity and participation of LGBTQ+ people in the life, ministry, and work of the Church because we believe that the Kin-dom of God contains a vast multitude and diversity of persons, identities, and orientations.

  • We believe that the biblical argument made against LGBTQ+ inclusion in the Church comes from an incomplete reading & misinterpretation of Scripture. For more information about the traditional “clobber” passages, we invite you to check out the resources below or schedule a time to talk with one of us.
